The Algarve Energy Park initiative is designed to meet the needs of tomorrow’s world by addressing today’s global challenges.

The Algarve Energy Park is an innovative concept at national and European level, focused on developing a specialized renewable energy solutions platform by creating conditions for the advanced training, research and development of energy technologies, integrated with product demonstration, communication and commercialization.

The main area of focus are:

- Roll out of the solar DEMO park, a technology demonstration platform which will enable a range of activities associated with the monitoring, development, commercialization and communication of several cutting edge concentrated solar technologies.

- Addition of complementary activities to include integrated solar design, energy efficiency technology integration solutions, and the implementation of a professional training center for the renewable energy and sustainable construction sectors.

- Development of the Energy Experience Park, a sustainability oriented theme-park, using a novel edutainment model to promote the opportunities of renewable energy and sustainable living among the wider public.
